Now that the dust has settled and meetings, correspondence & phone calls concluded, we wish to clarify the position as it now stands,
Crossgates Primrose JFC (Adults) has gone into abeyance for the remainder of season 2015/16, with the opportunity to return next season. In the meantime the Humbug, all Primrose money and accounts will be transferred to the CPJFC Youth committee, who will now manage the ground and facilities along with DALFC.
Lisa, Stacey, Flynn, Gavin and myself have taken the club as far as we can, we have continually asked for assistance both financially but most importantly new committee or volunteers to ease the burden. If the club are to survive it now needs new people on board with fresh ideas and financial backing, therefore if you would like to bring in a new committee and resurrect the junior team please get in touch as a matter of urgency and we will arrange a meeting.
The youth set up continues to prosper with another two new teams being formed for next season, this will ensure the name Crossgates Primrose Juniors will always be around the village.
We are honoured and privileged to have served this famous junior side, but our time has come to an end, so it is now time for a new regime please get in touch if interested, thank you.
The Primrose would like to extend their thanks to ex Scotland and Dunfermline striker Stevie Crawford for putting the boys through their paces at a training session last night (Thursday 3rd Sept). It was a thoroughly enjoyable as well as hard working session which was greatly appreciated by all at the club. Many Thanks.
We welcome all players and officials to join us after the match for hospitality, warm food and refreshments available. Please leave all cars in the Humbug car park due to lack of parking facilities outside the lodge, it is a minutes walk from our park.
